Call For Paper (Original)

SAAAS 2016 -
Software Architectures for Adaptive Autonomous Systems
(co-located with 9TH INDIA SOFTWARE ENGINEERING CONFERENCE(ISEC) - 2016, Goa, India)

It is widely acknowledged that we are heading to the IoT era, an era
where we will see a proliferation of devices that are intended to aid
human activity. Correspondingly, their management and operations will
increase in complexity, so much so that it will be impossible to
manage them with current methodologies. One of the ways to deal with
this situation is to create autonomous systems that are self-managed
and self-operating. To do this, one has to write intelligent software
that leverages the learnings from AI and cognitive technologies
research. Further, to industrialize this will require us to create
easily composable pieces of software that provide the core building
blocks for creating such software systems.

The objective of the workshop is to bring together researchers and
practitioners addressing these challenges and to expose the audience
to the state-of-the-art in this field. It will comprise of invited
papers as well as a few invited talks in the area.

We invite technical papers describing original and unpublished results
of conceptual, empirical, and experimental work in the area of
autonomous systems. The workshop will provide a platform for
researchers and practitioners to meet and share cutting-edge
advancements in the field. Submissions are invited in all aspects of
building autonomous systems including but not limited to, the
following:

. Multi-agent systems
. AI planning techniques
. Dynamic planning
. Execution monitoring and control systems
. Process specification and management
. Leveraging analytics for autonomous systems
. Role of verification and simulations

Submission
----------
All manuscripts will be reviewed by the Program Committee and
evaluated on originality, relevance of the problem to the workshop,
technical strength, rigor in analysis, quality of results, and
organization and clarity of presentation of the paper. Authors are
highly encouraged to list the key contributions of their paper. This
should be in a separate paragraph in the introduction to the paper.

Submitted papers must represent original unpublished research that is
not currently under review for any other conference or journal.

Papers should not exceed 6 pages for the main text (including figures,
appendix etc) in standard ACM format((hyperlink:
http://www.acm.org/publications/article-templates/proceedings-template.html).

To submit manuscripts, click here((hyperlink:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=saaas2016) to take you to the
EasyChair submission site.

All accepted papers will be given the opportunity of a presentation at
the workshop and the papers will be published as part of proceedings
in CEUR(hyperlink: http://ceur-ws.org/).
