Subject: First International Workshop on Trusted Automated Decision Making
	(TADM-2021)

The First International Workshop on Trusted Automated Decision-Making (TADM 2021) will be held online as part of ETAPS 2021.

We invite submissions, which may be in the form of an extended abstract or a full paper (to be considered for publication in the post-proceedings) or a title and brief abstract for a presentation/talk at the workshop. We’d like to keep the format as informal as possible, to solicit preliminary work and to foster future collaboration among disparate disciplines. 

TADM 2021 will elicit discussion on what disciplines can help companies, governments, as well as software professionals demonstrate trust in automated decision-making systems. Together, we shall delve into the technical, social, ethical, and legal aspects of establishing trust in automated decision-making. Inscrutable safety- and mission-critical decision-making processes, which for technical or proprietary reasons cannot be comprehended by or disclosed to humans, have huge societal and legal implications. Again, we are soliciting interdisciplinary work; nascent and speculative ideas are welcome.
