 *Call for Nominations *
 
 *Best Ph. D. Thesis Award 2012*
 
 Computer Society of India
 
 Computer Society of India has been honouring academic excellence through
 academic awards every year. This award recognizes the best doctoral
 dissertation(s) in Computer Science/ Information Technology from recognized
 doctoral degree-awarding institutions in India. The award consists of
 Certificates, Trophies and Cash Prizes. The cash prizes for First and
 Second prizes are Rs.25,000/- and Rs.10,000/- respectively.
 
 *Criteria:* Any candidate whose Ph.D. thesis has been accepted by the a
 recognized University in India during the period from 1st January 2011 to
 31st December 2012 is eligible. The thesis would be evaluated by a panel of
 eminent research scientists. The short listed candidates will be called for
 presentation before the panel to Mumbai on 5th March 2013.
 
 
 *Nomination:* He should be nominated by the Institution from where the
 Research Scholar got his/her Ph.D; the dissertation nominated for the award
 must have been defended successfully between 1st January 2011 and 31st
 December 2012.
 
 Application form is available at
 http://www.csi-india.org/web/csi/academic-excellence-awards. The completed
 nominations should reach CSI Education Directorate (edawards at csi-india.org),
 through proper channel as specified in the application form, latest by 15th
 February 2013. Also a softc0py of the thesis should be sent to
